TexHealth plans offer access to healthcare coverage employees can afford.

What is the funding for the
TexHealth Dallas County Plan?

In 2006 The Hoblitzelle Foundation made a grant of $25,000 to the north Texas 3-Share Plan to assist with start-up costs of a Dallas County plan. In 2007 both the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) awarded planning and development grants for the implementation of Multi-Share plans for members of the TexHealth Coalition.

In 2009 the Texas Department of Insurance awarded an additional developmental and implementation grant that enabled the actual start-up of the Dallas County plan. And, the Federal Government awarded the State of Texas a State Health Access Program (SHAP) grant designed to expand healthcare coverage for small employers in the State. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission manages this grant. The Dallas County Plan is one of several recipients of funds from this grant for the Cost Sharing Accounts.
