Collette N. Griffin is Office Administrator of the North Texas 3-Share Plan, a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 organization working to develop low-cost healthcare programming for the “working poor” of small employers in north Texas. Her extensive background knowledge of development organizations like that of the North Texas 3-Share Plan, affords her the opportunity to remain actively involved in the community in her tireless efforts to provide quality service with respect to individuals’ needs in areas such as this.
Prior to her career change to healthcare advocacy, Collette enjoyed 13 years in education. She began as a classroom teacher of the core curriculum (Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies) for grades 1-5 and culminated her career as an ESL Coordinator. Currently, she owns and operates a printing and communications company, which specializations in grants acquisition and external funding source allocation. Collette is a graduate of the University of Houston with a BS Degree in Technology/ Human Development and Family Studies. She earned her Masters Degree in Human Relations and Business from Amberton University, in Garland, Texas.
Heavily involved in various organizations around the metroplex, Collette is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, the National Pan-Hellenic Council Inc. of Dallas, where she served as President in 2006 and Secretary in 2007; the Order of Omega; and Toastmasters International. She has received numerous awards for her outstanding service in the community, via these affiliations and hopes to continue in that same tradition throughout her tenure at the North Texas 3-Share Plan.
